Apparently the "deal" right now is Umarex (or RWS or Hammerli, depending on the label of the week) Airmagnum 850's at approximately $150.00 US. Units are warranty returns that have been repaired/rebuilt and may have minor cosmetic defects but are functionally A-Ok. A brand new AM850 sells for around $250.00 from most large US airgun vendors.
Don't know what else Umarex sells off like this, but here's the contact info:
Call Glenn or Ryan at Umarex 479-646-4210 X 17
or email glenn@umarexusa.com |

| I was poking around earlier today, and came across a list from late July (a bit over a month ago now) of what Umarex USA had for sale in respect to refurbished products. Seems the list was full of Diana (RWS) airguns. It was too old a list to re-post it now- but someone here was going to contact the rep. at Umarex for an updated list. Hopefully we'll be able to see that in the next few days. |

Eric,
I spoke to Ryan a couple of days ago and he said that all the prices are on that "old" list are still good. I just got the "combo" version of the 850 shipped to my door for $165. it's a great gun. |

Everyone seems to love that gun- even at it's "regular" price.
Perhaps one day I'll get one- first a QB78 deluxe, then some sort of a pistol (if people are going to start up Pistol shooting competitions around here) then an AirMagnum, then maybe a Condor- well, maybe all that but in a different order. Man- the list never ends (despite the fact my bank account does, fairly quickly!). I'm going to need another garage soon to store airgun stuff. |

| By the way- what is/does the "combo" version include? |

Mine was a "special edition" all thats extra is the Bipod.
the regular Combo has a scope (Walther 6X42AO IR)
and a silencer, which is very effective (only after taping it up to close
the holes drilled into the outer casing) after that the loudest part of
the shot is the hammer smacking the valve. I don't know if you saw this?

Aha! No, I hadn't seen that- I float around between 5 other forums a bit- although that is likely to become 3 pretty soon. I do stop in to the GTA site once in a while- I even have one of Bob's GTX-III triggers yet to be installed.
So, the idea here is that the "special" really isn't much to get worked up about and the "standard" version is A-Ok? Either way at $165 with an AO scope, bipod and suppressor/compensator- that's quite the deal. Can you purchase one of the regular black stocks from Umarex if you decide to dump the grey version? |
