| That is about as succinct as I can make the topic. Have a B3 underlever, that will be around 700 fps after tuning. With that power range in mind, what power would be the best for hunting birds and other 177 targets. |

Welcome to the forum! Someday you'll have to explain the Japan/Texas location - it sounds like there is a story there.
Definitely consider an adjustable objective lens for parallax error reduction and focus. (Parallax error is where the reticle points at different places depending on your head/eye position because the reticle and image aren't both in focus.) One setting isn't sufficient for the working range of an airgun (say, 5-50 yards).
I have a fixed 4X on my Slavia, which works fine indoors at 10 meters. I use a 3-9X on my G1, outdoors, at 25 yards and beyond. It stays on 9X. The mil-dot reticle on the G1 is wonderful for windage/drop compensation - I have to guess with the duplex reticle on the Slavia.
Make sure the mounts you get are tall enough to accomodate the objective bell of the scope you choose. |

| I am looking at the mildot and a IR, but I don't know how long of a scope I can get mounted on it. I will post an intro in the BS section later today or tomorrow. |
