I shot a bird with the CX4 today. It's running low on co2 so I switched out the rockets with gamo hunter pointed pellets. It was a solid broadside shot right in the shoulder. The bird was earthbound with a broken wing, but not dead. I was expecting my roommate to come home at anytime, and I couldnt' let him catch me outside with an airgun since he's not cool with that, so I took a more stealthy gun with me to finish off the bird as quickly as possible.

Last week a friend gave me a small throwing knife. I'm fairly well versed in ninjitsu, so I was comfortable in my skills with the throwing knife--eventhough I've never practiced with this particular blade. The bird was trapped in my yard by the fence, but it was running about trying to get away. Somehow I managed to throw the knife and get a solid stick my first try. Right through the back. It was only a few feet away, but such a small moving target is very hard to hit.

And trust me, I didn't want to have to do it that way and I wasn't trying to be cute or make the bird suffer. That just seemed like the best gun to use to dispatch the bird at the time. And it worked perfectly.
