Does any one know of a muzzle break that will fit on the Ruger Air Hawk. I want to remove the stock sights and replace the muzzle break. Just a point in the right direction would help. And sound supression doesn't matter to me I just want a bigger area to grab. the wife isn't real comfortable with the stock one.

Measure your muzzle OD and about 1" back to make sure it remains the same.

PM Yourdaddyjoe and he can make you one.

Cool, thanks for the tip. looks like I have 15.1mm or .59" for an outer diameter. Now should I go ported or non-ported what will the difference be?

He PM'd me back already he has the .625 series and they are the recommended breaks for the air hawk. Now to figure out the one we want to get. I'm looking at the ribbed one with the weaver mount on it.

The idea is that light, compressed gas will try to accelerate past the pellet after it leaves the muzzle - and destabilize it. I have both types of brakes, and I can't say I have ever noticed a difference.

Here is what airgun brakes do:
1. A harmonic dampener for accuracy.
2. A cocking handle.
3. Hides and protects the front sight mounting holes/dovetail.
4. Helps with balance.
5. They look cool.

Well from the looks of it and from what I'm being told the ported versions are really suited to the repeaters to help keep the gun on target. In my case that really isn't needed. The other feature I did like was the weaver mount option on the bottom for a bipod to lock onto. That is something that I know the wife and I will both like. She does most of her shooting from the picnic table in the backyard with mine being from there and lying in the field popping gohers. I havne't decided if the bi-pod up that far is what I want yet. I'm looking at getting a barrel clamp on version to mount farther back. Time to think about it.

I've had pretty good luck with the Ram-Line plastic clip-on bipod:
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=230938

It gives just enough support so the gun can rock when you shoot, and it's easy to adjust cant on uneven surfaces. It does raise the P.O.I. on barrel cockers, though. About $15.00 U.S.D.

Mine was a little long for my tastes, so I amputated it just south of the little locking nubs:
