I just did a little research and that UPS depot where the package started at Highland Heights, OH. Well it's only 10 miles from where Pyramid is located in Bedford Heights, OH. I would guess I'm correct in my thinking. I saved 5 freaking dollars but had to wait 13 days to get a gun that I also have coming from the same place for 5 bucks more and a 5 day order time. How's that for messed up??

Well if Cobra is a dealer for Pyramid which is possible because Pyramid offers dealer accounts. Then I find it strange that they sell products cheaper than what the place they buy from sells them for. They then also need to or should clarifiy that the item you thought you just ordered from them in stock will actually be drop shipping from their suppliers facility and that the order process from order time to actual shipping date may take a week or more not lie to their customers saying it shipped when in fact it didn't. If this package does indeed come from Pyramid I will be calling them to look into this further like when they actually got the order from Cobra.

Did I miss something? Who said Cobra had anything to do with Pyramyd?

I don't know.

But going off what MN said about Pyramyd's "dealer accounts" or whatever, they probably sell bulk at much lower prices than listed on their site.

It's just a guess at this point guys. The ups tracking info states my cobra order starting in Ohio and the ups depot is 10 miles from where Pyramid is located. My guess is Cobra has a dealer account set up with Pyramid and Pyramid is drop shipping orders for cobra. I will know for sure Sometime Wednesday if both of my guns have similar shipping tags.

Just for clarification- PyramydAir does not sell to dealers for alot less than what is listed on their website. Difference is typically 5-10% and "special offers" don't apply- i.e. the usual buy 3 tins of pellets get the 4th free.

The reason dealers buy from PyramydAir is not price, it is the access to such a large variety of product without having to sign up with a specific manufacturer. For example, most manufacturers have a "minimum opening order" of $1,000 to 5,000 dollars, and minimum re-orders of $500, many also have a minimum amount that must be bought per year to keep the account 'open'- i.e. $10,000 and such. A small dealer is not going to be able to do that with many different manufacturers, so they might buy some products from Pyramyd to give their customers a bit more variety/choice when they come into their store.

I understand how it's done. But if the wholesale account claims to have it in stock then they need to have it in stock rather then having it drop shipped from their supplier and lying to a customer saying it shipped 5 days ago when in fact it didn't. Cobra needs to rethink thier business practices a bit. Like having thier site say " this Item ships from supplier and may take up to a week". For some reason I don't see them chaging their ways.

Well gang I have both guns. Shipping tags both originate at the same location in Ohio just a different name on each one pryamid and the other cobra. So I would assume the one from Cobra was drop shipped lke I guessed. Oh well I have one sighted in and the other to do yet but at least I have what I paid for.

Just a word to those who are wondering about dealing with Cobra Air guns, well I would advise you shop elsewhere like at Pyramid. They have fast shipping and great communication which unfortunalty Cobra doesn't.

By way of comparison, I just ordered a JM spring for my G1. I got an order confirmation in four hours, and a shipping tracking number 44 minutes after that.

Yeah now that's normal. Pretty much the same thing I got from Pyramid. Cobra I guess operates under a whole different set of standards I guess. Oh well they won't see any repeat business from me.

Pyramid air just did me bad. I pre-ordered the walther co2 bb shotgun which they advertised as being in stock on 5/14/09. Since that is today, I checked the shipping status but no updates. I go back to the site to look at what I ordered and it now says estimated stock date of 6/7/09. Hmmm...

At least they don't charge you until they ship it. But I'm pretty disappointed that the stock date jumped three WEEKS into the future.

That's the one problem I ever had with Pyramyd. There was a time I wanted to order 3 items and it took months or them to have everything in stock at once.

That type of thing I can see happening. that could have been an error on when they were supposed to get thier shippment into relation as to when they could then sell them. But like you said at least they didn't take your money or better yet sit and lie to you that it did ship. I'm definitly going to be more careful with future purchases. I can say I am not happy how Cobra Airguns treated me nor will I ever go back there or recommend them but I am very happy with the Ruger Air Hawk Combo. This thing is dead on and powerful.

The only experince I have in ordering an AG is from Crosman custom shoppe. This is only a minor rant, because they do warn you it can take 4-6 weeks before recieving your custom order. I recieved my 2300kt in 2 weeks!

I had an order number immediatly. That was nice. But right up until it was shipped, every time I went to check the website, the order was "pending". It would have been nice had they said, "pending", "approved", "building", then shipping. So atleast you could see some activity in the process. Could you imagine seeing "pending" for 6 weeks!?

Again, this is just a minor rant. Because other wise I'm very happy with my order.
