Does anyone have a source for solid ballistics information on various popular pellets?
BC, SD, etc? |

try ChairGun software, here the link http://www.chairgun.com
latest version 3 and it has 2 pellet database, both of these databases have all popular pellets BC, weight and all other informations with various calibers.
Also you can compare 4 differant pellets fr your gun with graphics

Oooh, cool. THANK you!
You know, I hated math when I was a kid. Just hated it. My math teacher always told me "You'll need this someday!" and I never believed him.
I'M SORRY MISTER MATLOCK, YOU WERE RIGHT! |

Well, it was a great idea but I can't get a successful download on it in either version.
Thanks anyway. |

Buster, ballistics isn't just math.
It's science and art.
Windage, weights, temperature, humidity, altitude, angle of firing, air pressure, angle of off center (tilted gun sideways), all of these things must be figured in for a completely accurate ballistics table.
Ironically, once you figure it all out the conditions have already changed, that's where the art part of it come into play. |

I get what you're saying but to put a fine point on it, Ballistics is pure science, no ifs, ands, or buts.
SHOOTING is Art.
The human mind is such an amazing thing, we can pour all that data into it and with enough experience, we don't even think about all those coolio variables, we just do it.
And that's what makes art fun!
But still, when I try to DL the chairgun programs, they keep telling me the setup file is corrupted and I need to reload it. Anybody else have this problem?
Anybody have another idea on how to get this software? Is there a CD version available somewhere? |

Just to make sure, the most obvious of things that can really f__ your day up... are you running windows?
An explanation of the question: one day someone playing an online game asked me how to take a screen shot, so I told him printscreen then paste into MS paint. Anyway... he asks what paint is, I say start menu> accessories> paint. Not simple enough. He asks what is the start menu... then I realize he is running mac. |

Fair question and yes, I'm running XP, SP2 BUT...
It's on AOHell, which is probably the problem.
Thanks though, I think I'll take aircube up on his generous offer.

Thanks very much, I'd appreciate that! PM en route. |
