Ok, I know it's a new thread. That's because it's a whole new gun at the moment. The barrel screw wouldn't stay tight on the .177 barrel, no matter what I did. Blue Loctite didn't even help. Neither did SuperGlue. I thought about epoxying the barrel in, but knew I would eventually want to change it, so just went on and changed to the .22 barrel. It was like sunshine after a month of rain. Had to reset the scope, of course, but after that, everything fell into place. Barrel screw stayed tight (the very same screw used on the .177 barrel), groups were groups, not shotgun patterns, and the barrel isn't nearly so sensitive to pellet types. Both wadcutter and pointed types shot great, with groups well under 1" at 25 yds. The gun isn't even that sensitve to hold. Now I've got to work on that awful trigger pull, and that King Kong cocking stroke. My arms are so sore I can hardly type.

Nice to hear you got it all together.

Have you done the crown on it? If needed...

Ill throw up the direct link this time. Mr. Green
if you take out the trigger group, you have to take out the spring.
you can do the trigger work shown in the link without removing the group.
i took it all the way apart the first time i fooled with it, and the spring almost got me. Shocked
now i have a short "t" handle w/ brass end i use.
i can tear it down in about 5 min. Thumb Up!
my scope died after 30-40 shots, crosshair went 40 drgrees left.
how's your's holdin' up?

Fritz, it's gonna be a bit difficult to crown this baby, the barrel is recessed at the muzzle the better part of an inch, and the recess is just over bore size.
Tonbon, the scope is just fine so far. Adjustments aren't that precise, but it works well otherwise. Eye relief is a bit critical for my liking. Wish I could put my old K4 Weaver on it.
