I bought this gun thinking that I could snipe sum critters without disturbing the neighbors but this thing is loud and I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to quieten it down?

What would all of you compare the sound of a springer to?

A .22 LR? .22 short? Louder? Softer?

Mine sounds about like a 22 short. It's a walmart special, but it is the most accurate gun I own. Since this is about all I can afford I'm happy with it. Smile

I've shot both .22 shorts and CB caps. Both have minimal report.

Makes me wonder if my crosman 140 pump is just about as loud then, 'cause when it breaks wind, it makes quite a little pop.
