Hey Dedpool
Nice!!!
Definitely looks more tactical looking now!
Did you apply it on thin with a brush or did you spray it?
Also on the 66 Powermaster, Is the butt and forearm real wood, Laminate or plastic?
If you know that is of course.
The Skull art Wrocks!!!

Thanks Stevie,
I sprayed it on with krylon spray paint.
The butt and forearm are made of cheap looking brown plastic |

Cheers Dedpool
I just like to know the things that Crosman don't directly specify!
Hopefully the spray paint won't get as chiped or as worn as what it is covering!

Very interesting. Looks good- hopefully it will after using it for awhile too! Is that grey, or a very light green (carpet color is confusing my perception)?
I'm also curious how the paint holds up. Did you use a 'regular' Krylon or their newer plastic-specific spray paint? They were generally the best for sticking to plastic before that plastic-specific paint came out 3 or 4 years ago ("Fusion" they call it), excluding the specialty paint manufacturers available at auto body supply and interior shops (SEM makes the best paints for plastic adhesion- at least in automobile plastics anyways). I've rarely had good luck getting paint to stick well to plastics and am wondering if the formulations of the paint have gotten any better? |

Heh, it kinda looks like something from Mad Max. You should cut of the but and put a pistol grip on it or something. |

So I've been using my airgun pretty heavily the past week and the paint is holding up great. Theres a couple scratches on the barrel because I keep propping it up against brick walls but everything else is just like new |

Hi Dedpool
Nice to here the paint is holding up!
Maybe it might be a good idea to use a Bi-pod or put sand bags in the places that you use to shoot from, Just an idea!

Good to hear the paint is still "stuck". I'm wondering how long it will take before handling it wears through the paint- it's bound to happen eventually I would think.
Is it still shooting A-Ok? |

Well, maybe I should use Krylon too. I don't know what the hell it is in Dutch, but I'll find out.
Still, I'll probably be using "Tamiya" miniature kit spray-paint. A few white coats and then for the finishing touch black spots. Winter Camo. |

I use Auto spray paint on everything and never have any problems, if you use it on plastics it burns into the surface and lasts forever.

Hmm- I've never actually tried automotive body paint on plastics- every other sort of paint you can think of- rust preventative paint (i.e. for metal), floor paint, household lacquers and alkyds, you name it- I've tried it- but never common auto paint (laquers and enamels) in a spray can. Not sure why that never occurred to me-?
I had found that the Krylon-in-a-can worked better than anything else. I have a bunch of automotive plastics painted with the Krylon "Fusion" plastic paint as well- but all those parts are in bags waiting to be installed whenever I get around to re-constructing the car they belong with- so I have no idea how they will hold up. |

I want to go for the Matt-effect and see how it looks with the good quality blueing on the Umarex. I'll post a pic when I got it done. |
