My Diana 48, with the barrel shroud and scoped is exactly 5 Kilos (11 Pounds). (Without the Bi-pod, I use this rifle for standing shooting at 25 meters now) Anyone around here going to break that record?

The Diana 48 is a Magnum rated springer.

It's gotta be one you own. Also state if it's a springer or not. Wink

Let's go for the record guys!

Hey D-racer, when you're shooting, do you shoot lying down/sitting?

When you're standing, do you also attach the aforementioned gizmos? Wink

You like em heavy too? Mr. Green I thought I was the only one. A few days ago I shot an Air Arms S400 Xtra Fac. That thing seemed pretty darn light to me while the owner complained it was heavy. I told him to have a go with the D-48. Could get it to group reasonably though, I was worse with the Air Arms. Wink

yea, i tend to like a bit of heft in my rifles. especially with my springers, i find it adds some needed stability.

Definitely! I'm planning on making a wooden stock to fit the D-48. Still looking into some inspiration though. Mr. Green

The most I can make is just over 10.5 lb with my Tx, and that heavy enough for me.

Wholly cow! Those are some whoppers. Do you guys ever get tired of lugging those anchors around ? I have hunted with guns weighing 7-8lbs., and by the end of the day they feel mighty heavy. Maybe I'm just a lightweight...

Part of rifle weight is perception.

The more the bottom edge of the stock angles toward the muzzle, the heavier it will feel.

In the field, the closer the rifle is held to the body, the lighter it will feel.

Carry an M50 with several hundred rounds of ammo in 120 deg.heat & 98% humidity thru rice paddies and jungle all day every day. After that even a 15 lb. rifle will feel like peewee weight. Like I said, it's perception.

But not everyone does that kind of thing every day.
