Well I have been saving up for a while and have been shooting the heck out of my bluestreak and have decided to get a new gun but I just havent decided which one to get but I know it will be a springer. My two contestants that I have narrowed down are the beeman R7 and the BSA Lightning XL. If you guys have had any experiance with either of these guns it would be great.

Thanks

I'm glad you're not going completely low-end on the purchase. Does it need to be one of those two models, or are there any others that you would consider?

What he said .

for that much money your options are many. why not the r-9?? the r-7 is low powered but very very accurate. i test fired an r-9 which is why i bought a bam-26 (clone).

what do you want it for??

i've been dissapointed with gun buys in the past. do more research and take your time!!

I am open to other options to but I am looking for more of a carbine feel, With the lightning I would be doing squirrel hunting rabbit and some pest control light shooting some chippers, sparrows and starlings. If I went the R7 rout I would be doing more target, and plinking and some sparrow shooting. But I am leaning on the Lightning side any of you guys hd experiance with it?

BSA Lightning XL or a Weihrauch. I'd have to go for the BSA. Lovely rifles, GREAT finish, and very good out of the box. Mr. Green

It makes a nice "chock" when shot, no recoil, and it's very well balanced.

Besides, everyone owns a Beeman/Weihrauch. Mr. Green I have to admit I shot the .22 and not the .177. Neutral

Cocking effort isn't something I would really worry about, especially not with this rifle. If you can't cock this, then you should question your manhood. Mr. Green

It's really small and light, but packs a nice amount of power, and recoil is fine too. Mr. Green

The secret is that it's short stroke, but it uses a larger diameter piston and housing. So you could say it's a bit fatter. Mr. Green
