Well I suppose I'll be first this week, still can't get outside to shoot because of the weather, at least it gave me a chance to use Co2 for a change.

Date 04-02-09
Time taken 13 minutes
gun Rohm Twin master .177
Pellet Bisley practice
Sight Walther Red Dot
Range 5m

Score 116/160

Al

I'm begining to think I'm glad I don't live where you do.... no offense, I just can't stand being couped up, espessially as a result of weather.
I shot my target Monday night, I just didn't want to be first this time. I still think I'll wait for a few others. I'll explain when I post.

Umarex Beretta 92 FS (CO2)
RWS Hobby pellets
open sights
05/02/2009
time 3:30pm
time taken 6min 57 sec

I make my score at 118 even though the scoring says 115. sorry i didnt realize white was 3 points untill i had scanned the image.

i have used my Birthday Money and just brought myself a pistol. Need to get used to it. Seeing as its my first time ever at shooting one i am pleased with my score.

i am open to any advice anyone may have regarding the technic in shooting a pistol or any general comments. i was surprised how little power it seemed to have, even though it states 393ft (120m/s)

like i said never shoot a pistol befor will shoot the target with my rifle saturday (weather permitting)

Okay, downloaded the target and placed it in the target holder.
Headed back to the firing line....
Geez, those little red dots are small. Cranked down the front iris
to try to get a sight picture on the red dot. Hmm... real small.

So, it made me really concentrate, and that affected my time.
I set the timer to 15:00 and got the last shot off just before the beep.
(I saw the time running out and fired the last shot. Guess which one it is!! Mad)

I really like the two targets in the lower right. They look identical!!
I'm thinking if I re-print the target and shoot it again, I might have
a chance of cleaning it, but I only print and shoot one. There is always next time! Wink

Okay, Bean I posted my target so now you can post yours
(that is if you were waiting for me.... Razz)

Walther LG300XT 10m peep standing
14:59 minutes
Match Diablo pellets

155/160

Laughing Not specifically, but again I shot above my self perceived ability...
I really just wanted to make sure I didn't discourage others from trying. I know when I first started these several months ago I was sometimes intimidated by the better scores. I would shoot the targets as practice but was embarrassed to post. As I see it, the more people in here the better. Anyway... I had a good week with the 2300 but I bow to oatring. NICE shooting!! I may need to get myself a good 10m rifle (of course I'd still scope it. I like to see what I'm aiming at Cool )

Crosman 2300s .177
Gamo Match Wads
5m, 2 hand, 2x scope
Time = 9:43
Score 145/160 (the lower left target, the poorer of the 2 shots was fired first and did break the red, a little...)

And I wanted to share my rifle shoot. (Remember this is a Talon SS. 12 inch barrel and not exactly ideal for 10m shooting...)

Talon SS .177
Crosman Premier Light
10M, Scoped (set at ~ 15x)
Time = 9:18
Score was 128/160 (not the 130 on the paper)
Wadcutters may have gotten me a few more points assuming all the shots landed in the same place as these.

beretta 92fs co2
rws hobby pellets
open sight
9min 34 seconds (taken more time on my shoots this time around)

score 155 or 160 so i am leaving it to Alstone to decide (sorry m8)

I Have been practacing with my New Pistol trying to get where i am as accurat as possable to actually holding it right. belive it or not i have gone through near on 600 pellets and am on my 10th co2 canister.
My arm hurts and my shoulder is burning due to using musels i dont normaly use or required to stay still for a long period of time. but i think i have got it pretty sorted where i need to line things up to get a good grouping

Anyway i am submitting my second go at this target with my pistol. and i am not being funny when i say i think the practice has payed of. i was so pleased with score i did a dance around my garden and kissed the next doors cat ( yuk (furr ball) cant wait to see what Alstone decides

sorry Bean And Oatring Smile

There as been some craking shooting this week well done to everyone that entred.

Bean and oatring am telling you chaps well done, i nearly didnt retry again because i was sure i couldnt beat ether of you.
(But the competative side of me won)

i was just wondering if it was possable to have 2 seperate scoring systems?. where as the person with the highest Rifle score is posted with the person with the highest pistol score and the end of the week.

if this is aready the case then i am sorry for not noticeing. but its just a thought.

Hi Koz, I think for the time being I will leave it as it is, the idea of 5m for pistols and 10m for rifles tends to even thing up resonably well.

Al

No need to apologize to me. This is what makes it fun.
I've going full bore practicing 10m with the rifle. Need to remind myself to keep my pistol skills up to. Really surprised myself the past two weeks.

Did you post your target? I don't see a pic or link. (Not that I care, I just like seeing them.)
