I finally started getting on to it by the end. Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, 5 meters, on hand, iron sights, 8 minutes. They are more expensive but when I shoot the week 67 target with them i scored 101. As for pellets you just have to find the ones that suit you gun, I find that RWS Hobbies are a good starting point, they are a reasonable pellet and cheap, at least over here, plus being a wadcutter ideal for target shooting. But, since I've been really hammering the 10m practice, I thought I'd give it a go. I could blame the bad score on the inability to see... Did okay, actually. The problem was the second shot, because if the first shot wasn't in the center, it made the black center "move" really making it hard to sight in for the second shot. Should have paid more attention to the targets on the right side. Just got lazy and didn't have a good NPA. Scope or not, that's some nice shooting. I'm jealous. I'm to old and shakey to achieve results like that even with a scope but I'm practicing nearly every day. The thing is Bean I'm getting on a bit and practice most days, and shoot up to 30,000 pellets a year, which does help but some days the shakes appear and anyway it's all about personal best's. I have guns that shoot well and some that don't, and get as much pleasure getting a reasonable score with an indifferent gun, as I would get using a match rifle, that’s what it's really all about. I didn't mean that to sound negative to anyone, especially oatring. I just have more fun when I come close to hitiing what I'm aiming at, or can at least see improvement over time. I used to shoot alot. My interest declined when my performance declined even with my (then) match grade sights on my 'cheap' airguns. After giving it another go years later (now) I'm able to outfit guns to fit my needs. I truelly wish I could shoot 10 meter pistol or rifle with regulation sights (of course pistol would also require a regulation stance). Even if I never competed I would feel good knowing I could score X compared to the best. Oh well, I am getting better with what I have now and I'm having a ball.
