Dunno if anybody has tried this...but I work on security at a data centre...where there are lawns fronting the main building and the rabbits are digging into the lawns...causing them to look unsightly...
With me being a hobby shooter...I was asked to discourage the little blighters while I was on the night shift...
I found out...through using apples as targets at differing ranges...25...30...35 and 45 yards...that the rabbits absolutely love nibbling at the remnants spread all over by me splattering the apples...
I use apples...because they are about the same size as a rabbits head...and so good practice...
They come out and obviously smell the burst fruit and pick off the fragments...and I come out and pick off the rabbits...
Been pretty fruitful so far.... ...am whittling them down slowly but surely...
My rifle is a .25 Weihrauch 80k...Section One FAC...that was venom tuned by the our friend Steve Pope...and it hits like a brick...!!!
Ta for listening.... |

Excellent.
What species of apple are you using? Over here in the US our apples are the size of a rabbit's upper body. |
