Hi..By all acounts the 26 is one of the better
chinesse shooters Think they are the ones that
are inhouse rebranded as the Crosman Guest ?
In sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong!

They are a copy of the HW 95 (Beeman R9). They have
a very nice build quality (better than the RWS 34). The
only plastic in them are the breech and piston seals. they
respond very well to tuning. They can be hot rodded
to put out 17-18 fpe, but are much less hold sensitive
below 16 fpe.

This is my personal B26-2 (.22 cal. of course) that I use
for pigeon control in my pest control business. I've had it for
almost a year now with no problems. It is a very consistent
and accurate airgun and well suited to small animal pest
control and hunting out to 40-50 yards.

cw. do you tune these? yes they are well made. mine is the standard with open sights.

I have tuned 17 in the last year. A thrust bearing at each
end of the spring does wonders for these rifles.

Also, I have found a lot of them have very little lube in
them, in the wrong places and usually have some rust in
the action. They get real smooth with the correct
lubrication in the right locations.

oh, one more question. the book says chamber lube every 1000 shots. are the seals leather or synthetic?

I f you want to keep your accuracy, DO NOT put
ANY oil in the transfer port. Lubrication should only
go behind the piston seal and NEVER on the
compression side of the seal.

I'm a big fan of Macarri's Tesla seal for the B26.
They're kind of spendy, but offer increased
performance, better longevity and can handle hotter
springs. They have to be hand fitted and run ONLY
with moly. Be very careful when sizing the seal as
it is real easy to go too far and ruin it.

For the vibration (twang), coat ONLY the rear half of the
spring with a VERY light application of teflon tar (NO heavy tar
in this gun).

sounds good. i won't try this myself but i'm sure tim at mac-1 will. he did my gamo even though he doesn't work on them. he'd probably be curious.
