Didn't want to be first (or only) but weeks' just about done so here goes...

2300S 5m 2 hand
BSA 2x Scope
Beeman HP's (the 2.99/500 kind Very Happy )
5:45 125/160

Now here's the kicker. The target above is the original I shot this earlier in the week. I also shot a rifle version (it was embarassing). Then - I lost the targets (then found them today). Yesterday I go shot a pistol one just to have something to post, but since it wasn't my first go at the target I figured I'd try a one hander and let you all laugh at me. Well, I did, with a lighter gun (the P3) and look what happens...

P3 5m 1 hand
BSA 2x Scope
Beeman HP's (the 2.99/500 kind Very Happy )
7:20 132/160

Hi Bean
Well seeing as no one posted last week and you posted after midnight, we are in to a new week so I'll leave the target to run this week.

So you are the first shooter for the new year, and it looks like the weather is a bit better to day so I should get a few shots in later.

Al

PS: BTW times are GMT not local.

I might try kneeling next week. But my bones hurt when I try to get up. My arm should be stronger too.

Hey Deadeye,
I've only been posting my targets for a few weeks. I was too embarassed to post the few 4-5 weeks that I tried. Only point is that it does get better. I hadn't shot in years. Since I've gotten back into it I shoot A LOT and I still don't think I'm very good. The practice is 90% of the fun for me.

Also, I think you cheated yourself from a few points. If I'm seeing you pic correctly - I think you printed the target too small. Save it (the file) to your computer as an .mpg or .jpg then open it and print it as if it were a picture. Your margins are way bigger than mine or Alstone's so the targets got scaled down too.

I did have some trouble saveing it. It wants to save as a bmp. I saved it again and it did print bigger.

That's the boat I am in. I think I am still under 150 pellets through this thing. Just shooting a little after work and before dark. I will get some time in on the weekend though. I forgot how mutch fun it could be.

Hi DeadEye don’t worry about your score and as Bean says you target is way to small, when set to its proper size your score will improve anyway, also your Quest will improve once you get more shots through it and it settles down.

Just one other thing, you were on about kneeling down to shoot, well I’m afraid that is not allowed, all shooting must be done standing. It’s not very clear in the rules so I’ll redo it.

Al

This is the first time in almost 8 months that I have shot my air pistol. A sad case of mistaken priorities. I will try to participate on regularly thorugh the winter.
Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, open sights, one hand, 5 meters, 9 minutes. Score 139/160.

I shoot worse than "poorly"- but I'm not ashamed to admit it when every sees what I was working with.

I bought a 2240 with an 'RJ Breech and 19" stainless .22 cal Lothar barrel' about 4-5 weeks ago. Opened it when I got it, all looked intact, I threw it in the corner and forgot about it until today.

Turns out the barrel is actually .20 cal (who wants a .20 cal 22xx Crosman?), breech has a wee bit of wiggle in it and the pistol body itself has a small leak somewhere around the valve.

So- not having any .20 cal pellets around, I swapped in a 24" Crosman barrel laying around the workbench because the crown is a disaster and I have never had a chance to re-crown or cut it down yet. This barrel was actually replaced by Crosman under warranty it was so bad.

First, the breech:

Next the gun w/barrels:

Now the boogered barrel end (the one on the right, the left unit is a 'normal' Crosman unit, although it's hardly leagues ahead):

And finally, my target.

Sights- none whatsoever
.22 cal Coal Wadcutters
5m (shot as pistol with muzzle end at the 5m mark, but maybe this is incorrect and I should have been calling it a rifle(?))
Total time: 9 minutes (tough to line it up with no sights and a 24" barrel- tiring too!)

Score: 68/160

OMG.. My rifle only has a 12inch barrel... (does that mean I can call it a pistol? Smile ... wait, no... I'm still better with my actual pistol even at 10m)
