I was meandering through the internet, and came across a lovely gun on IZH Baikal's website. The MP-532.

Link:
http://www.baikalinc.ru/en/company/119.html

Nobody seems to have it for sale.

Here are some pictures:
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.airguns.pl/wiatrowka/wiatrowki/wiatrowka-opis-baikal-mp-532-5.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.airguns.pl/test-baikal-mp-532&usg=__Cgu8rujivTBgmUkecl08ZiDet9s=&h=533&w=710&sz=98&hl=en&start=4&um=1&tbnid=RIncuwHUCMmQLM:&tbnh=105&tbnw=140&prev=/images%3Fq%3DIZH%2Bbaikal%2Bmp%2B532%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN

It seems to be rather strikingly similar to the 46M pistol, so it should be an astoundingly accurate rifle.

Is anyone else interested in this one?

Maybe we could get together and persuade some company or another to import a few for us...

Nobody has anything to say about this gun?

There is also a PCP version a few of you might be interested in:

And a running target version of the pump:

And they also have this'n:

I think part of the problem is that for whatever reasons, the Russians are inconsistent in being able to deliver products- thus perhaps why no one has one/is importing them.

Those must be some different Russians making guns...

In my other hobby, R/C planes, the Russians make VERY high quality pieces at great prices. Not so sure about delivery, though.

Have a look at:

http://www.baikalcanada.com/air_rifles_mp532.htm

They import Baikal into Canada.

No, they only say they do- thus why my comment about not ever getting delivery. They are also Russian- so we can't blame a language issue for the lack of performance. Seems no one in the U.S. is carrying the newer Russian airgun products either- so I would have to assume at this point that it's not the distributors with the problem, but the manufacturer.

That's why i was really hoping that people would be interested in this gun. If the manufacturer saw a large client base, they would certainly pick up their act if they had any substance between their ears.

Off topic:
Finally finished up reshaping and surfacing my stock for my Beeman ss1000t. I also recrowned the barrel. Today i was actually able to pop a few soda cans at 75 yards. I was about 9 for 10 at 50 yards, though. I believe it has broken in now.
