Hi all,

I'm 43 and have been airgunning since I was about 15. My first gun was a Daisy Powerline 880. I owned it and used it until 1997 when it was finally just worn out. I then went out and bought another 880.

About 4 weeks ago, I was given my uncle's Crosman 140, which was given to him on Christmas day 1955 when he was 14 years old.

The seals on it were old and worn out, so I sent it in to Alan Schweitzer. (http://abairgun.com/)

Wow, he does great work. Exactly 2 weeks turnaround time. When I received it back from him, I took it down to the basement and shot a 3/4" group at 11 yards from the shoulder with only my front elbow down.

I have some questions and stories to share, so thanks for this forum.

Here is everything that came with the Crosman 140. Yes, the Crosman papers were included.

Looks to be in very good condition- did your uncle not use it very often, or was he just super-careful with it?

And, Welcome to AirGunHome.com!

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

lauchlin: Wow, I thought it was cool that it was still in the box with all the paper, but I didn't realize that a pelgun box gained value. Shocked Interesting. Smile

AirGunEric: My dad (my uncle's brother) had the gun in his basement for some reason. He found it and gave it to me. I think it was stored in my grandparents' basement and when they died, my dad put it in his basement. My parents decided to move into a condo, so they "cleaned" things out and gave me the gun. I was very grateful.

Apprently, my uncle didn't use it much. The wood only shows minor cracks from being dry, but no wear from being used. I don't think he used it much. Maybe he couldn't pump it. lol It pumps pretty stout.

kanyon:For sure. I would have been satisfied with just the gun. Bonus!

fritz:Thanks for the friendly offer. Wink It's nice to know there are guys like you watching my 6.

Looks like this is a pretty active forum. Should be fun.

Welcome to the forum, neighbor! Mind that you don't point that contraption north, cuz there aren't enough trees or hills between us to stop the pellet.

226 miles north of me. If you hear a wizzing sound go past your ears, it's just me giving you a friendly "wave." Razz

Thanks. I really like the rifle.

And it was either I called myself Crosman140 or else DaisyPowerline880. For some reason, The Crosman inspired me as a higher quality gun than my Daisy. Laughing
