For the money spent on a GAMO with a new trigger, it sounds like you can almost buy two Benjamin Sheridan Super Streaks for the same amount of money. If both are equal performers, then the Super Streak should be the better deal by far. Would you say that's true?

One other thing: getting Benjamin Sheridan parts and service seems to be much better than GAMO. For support, it looks looks like the Benjamin Sheridan has the advantage. Would you say that's true also?

Confirmed: The Gamo Hunter 1250 is made in England, or at least some models.

I got a Super Streak and it's a springer...

It's a great gun, I havn't fully broken it in yet but it's fairly accurate. I have the .22 version and it is a great squirrel killer.

I have a SS .22. It's not that great. The trigger takes a mile and weighs a ton *exaduration*.

I'd get a Beeman Heavy Target Rifle or RS-series.

If you want a springer that is.

In the price range for co2/hpa I'd get a Discovery or a 2250 with mods.

fritz, my .22 collection is as follows: Beeman RS-2, Benjimin Super Streak, Benjimin Discovery, and a Logun S16.

my RS2 didnt last (granted i shoot ALOT) but a nice gun.
i absolutely LOVE my Super Streak!!! it is a tad heavy for shooting off hand, and is a bit more hold sensitive than some springers, but get used to it and it is one sweet shooter, much more accurate than the beeman.
i've had some Gamos in the past, and honestly, for my money, in my opinion, the super streak is a nicer rifle. like any rifle out there, it could use some minor improvements, but nothing major, yea the trigger is bit heavy, but easily addressed or gotten used to. it makes no pretenses of being a "match" rifle, its a big heavy work horse.

as for the PCPs... they are nice for fast follow up shots, but to me, theres a certain satisfaction in using a springer.

Gamo owns BSA. The Hunter 1250 and the newer (same powerplant) Hunter Extreme are both made in England by BSA. Gamo has announced .22 and .25 versions of the Extreme.

I loaned my Walther Talon .22 to a friend who does his own tuning as do I to make a wood stock and let him play with. He tore it down and confirmed that my Turkish Talon is of a higher quality than the Chicom Super Streak, which he recently also tore down and was so disappointed he bought a BAM 28 .22 which is an EXACT clone of the RWS/Diana 350 and he is very pleased with it. Mine arrives tomorrow. Compasseco is selling them for about $155.00. All parts are interchangeable with the 350 and the BAM has a metal trigger which is a sore point with many RWS owners.

My Gamo 1250 is off to Rich in Mich tomorrow for a total workover (way beyound a regular tune) including an upgrade to .20. He has a cheap fix for the Gamo triggers and Gamo clones that he designed as opposed to another alternative which was stolen and I refuse to recommend it.

In short, of the "magnums", the Gamo/BSA Hunter 1250/Extreme is a higher quality gun than the Talon/Falcon (Hatsan) which in turn is a higher quality gun than the Super Streak. The Talon/Falcon is slightly stronger than the Gamo and responds very well to a major tune.
