Which air gun do you usually grab on your way out the door whether it be to plink, hunt or shoot targets??
Mine is the .20 cal. Super Quest I built a year or so ago. After many mods to this springer it has proven itself to be one of the most accurate and powerful shooters I possess. The 14" Lother/Walther barrel I had Rich in Mich install made this light break barrel quite a tack driver. With the main spring mods, custom guides and trigger job it has settled down to constant 860-865FPS and loves the Beeman FTS pellets. The trigger pull is short about 1/8 in.,light 1lb and breaks crisp and clean(it took some welding to get it this way).I'm in the process of building another for froggin out of a boat, the spring and trigger mods are complete and I'll keep this one .177 and use the JSB Predator pellets.my last chrony shots were just over 910FPS but I was using the 7.9gr Crosman domes. The heaver 8.2gr Predator's should slow her down a little but still pack a heck-of-apunch.I have a Aperture sight on top and a laser below.
I'll get some pic's when she's all the way done and post them here.
I still have to add some bling to the stock!! LOL Those of you who know me know what I mean.
Its kinda funny a Quest wins over the few high dollar guns I own.
So what is your first go to gun when heading out the door to sling some lead ??????????????

Beeman FTS Pellets weigh 11.45gr

14 Fpe. My Diana does that with Barakuda Extra heavies (I still gotta put a JM spring in there). Quite impressive.
How much do the Beeman FTS weigh?
I have to admit though, that right now the first gun I pick up is my Slavia. The Diana 48 is a much more challenging rifle, and getting it to group, well, let's say I got to work on my technique a little more... |

I go in streaks. Today the "go to" gun is probably the Marksman 2004. Next week, who knows which one will catch my fancy. (Luckily, this doesn't apply to women, or my wife of 23 years would instruct me in the meaning of "hell hath no fury").

To go plinking somewhere it is my HW45.
It is quiet and good for plinking cans up to 75 feet .
Plus it fits in a relative small briefcase without attracting unwanted attention. |

slavia, nice set-up on the Marksman...did you make the grips?
I'd have to say right now I don't know as I've got three guns I don't have broken in to my satisfaction. Narrowing it down to 1 is hard. I suppose I'd say the Gamo Stutzen...but there are a couple of others, if I were hunting I'd go with the .25 Falcon. See what I mean, I still haven't answered your question...sorry.

The gun I use the most is the cheapest one I have.
Its a B?? the sales speal says its the smallest air gun china make.
Its great for targets/killing cans and to odd wayward bird.
I would say I have put more pellets though it than ALL my other guns combined |

Yes - wood with bed liner finish. "Grip extensions" is probably more accurate. |

| Right now its my newest gun, the phantom in .177. It can pull some very good groups to 30 yards when I can do my part and since it only has the stock open sights, thats about all I can do distance wise with any amount of precision. Plus, its half the price to shoot it as the .22 version that I have and I think I finally have it close to where I want it (for?) now. For the past couple of weeks now I've been poking around inside of it in the evenings doing a tweek here and changing something there and then running a few hundred shots through it the next day to see how it performs. |

The "go to" airgun in my modest collection is my dearly loved, mostly stock, .177(4,5mm) R9(HW95). I like it of course because of its quality and performance, but also because it "fits" me. The cheekpiece and grip are shaped right, the fore-end is not too thick, the weight(7.5 lbs./3.4kg) balances well (for a barrel cocker), and it is 43"/?cm long--a length to which I am accustomed.
Plus, delivering a whopping ~14 foot-pounds of bone-crushing energy, it has enough wallop to stop a charging squirrel in his tracks. |

"Mostly" implies some modification - what have you done with it? |

I need to get a digital camera. Then I will post photos of this rifle as I work on it. |

It's a toss up between my Tactical 1077 or my Bulked 2250B I keep both by the back door and extra ammo on the rail of the back porch...
I just grab one and go to plinkin'
If I am killin' cans at 40 yards... it is the 2250B... It gets the job done...
Some times I grab one of my customer's guns for the fun of it... I just call it testing...
This is a 2240 based Air Shotgun (Rat Gun) I just finished and will be shipping it to the East Coast in the morning...
