Hey guys. I'm new here, but not to air guns.
I have a Beeman ss100T, but I think it's a little much for my backyard. It is a little noisy and takes a lot of effort to get a single pellet downrange.
This gun is really meant to be a lower end hunting rifle, and I will never hunt with this gun.
I am more into target style shooting and plinking.
So, I am looking at selling this gun and purchasing an AR2078A custom from Archer air guns.
I have a few questions about this gun, and I hope you guys can answer them...
Is this gun accurate enough for me to do some 10m style comp. shooting?
Exactly how loud is it?
Do I really need to buy extra stuff to do bulk fill?
(it looks like a tank adapter is included in the pic.)
Where is a good comprehensive list of all the mods that could (I mean should) be done to this gun?
If needed, could I find a new barrel somewhere else from a different gun? |

Well then.
I think I have decided to, if I am getting another rifle, go with the 850.
I'll rig up some sort of bulk fill thing from paintball parts so that I don't have to take the tank off to fill it. |

Hmmm- not sure how your post got missed previously- must've gotten pushed down with other posts above it.
The AR2078 is a Chinese-made rifle. CharlieDaTuna would be the best best for getting it to perform- it is certainly not one of the 'higher end' Chinese rifles, but is better than alot of them.
The AM850 is a pretty solid choice. How good is it for competition style use? I don't know personally- does anyone ever buy one in the .177 format? |

Mike does a great job on these guns and they are very accurate for the price. I have an 850 Mag myself and couldn't be happier! If you go that route, see Roald for one and get the tune package you want:

Mine is in 22cal so I can't say the level of performance in 177. Roald tested my gun after tuning a was getting one holers with a couple of different pellets at 30yds. |

| Also if you were planning to shoot in the winter co2 wouldnt be the best and a springer would. I know you dont want something like the beeman but check out the Izh 61. Its really cool super easy to cock only 11 lbs and it have a semi-automatic action that loads the pellet after you shoot. So just check it out its really cool. |
