This one is only 435 fps, is totally recoiless and a LOT easier
to be accurate that a springer. It is a SSP (single stroke pneumatic)
One stroke to cock it, just like a springer, only there is no hold sensitivity
at all. It has a very nice two stage trigger and is very accurate. They can
be had for around $40. |
I second that! (Marksman 2004 = Beeman P17.) For the price you'll be able to afford pellets and shoot lots. Like Yoda says, "You will. You will."

Ok..over here rifes are the AR4/5/6 depending on cal.
and pistol is the P12..as per the Evanix web site.
Don't know why they would call there whole product line
AR6 must be confuseing.
Check mine for leaks all the time by covering the mag area in
baby powder & fireing it so far no big puffs of powder in the air.
Fingers crossed it stays that way. |

Wow guys,
Thanks for all your suggestions...Looks like the general consensus is to go with a Beeman.
I was wondering if you would recommend a Beeman P3 over a Beeman P17? (Aside the price difference.)

| I would say go with the P3, unless you like to smith. It already has most of the issues taken care of at the factory |
Yes! If you lack the ability, inclination, or time to work on the P17 (and have the money) then the P3 is the way to go. If money is an issue, then the P17 will serve well even without tinkering. It is a great value right out of the box, and gets better with attention. |

Why do you want high FPS in a target pistol?
Have fun,
