Hi, Westonhill
I'm from Spain, where the Indian is made, and once tried one.
Here in Spain, Cometa is regarded as one of the finest quality airgun manufacturers, so you can assume the quality is good. It's a powerful gun, if you don't hesitate to cock the lever each shot. For the statements I've heard here in spain, it seems that 500 ft/s is fair, if not conservative.
Unfortunately, I can't give you further advice, since I don't own the gun personally. Only this, good quality materials an powerful. I cant't say you if I would pay this for this pistol, I think it's a matter of taste. For instance, I like Co2. Maybe you like spring guns.
Regards |

I was thinking of buying one of these a while back, so I borrowed one for the evening at our local club. It is a very well made gun, aluminium and steel which made it quite heavy, but I think this helped to steady it when firing, one thing I missed was an adjustable rear sight, but all in all a very nice pistol also very accurate with about 5lb output.
The one thing that put me off was the side leaver cocking, there was nothing wrong with it, it’s just me not liking the set up.

Be careful dealing with anyone on that forum. I have delt with a few
people on that forum. I got burnt by one and had to get a restraint
order against another. The guy that runs it is quite unreasonable, as
are a lot of them over there. |

Don't post names publicly unless it is merely a description on the facts of the events, and/or is an "opinion" of the situation(s). As long as things are definable facts and/or stated as "opinion" no one gets into legal trouble.
I'd say something, but it would be biased as I'm no fan of how the yellow group of forums is run. |

If you buy on the Yellow Classifieds, go to the link on the top called BOI for Board of Inquiry and do a search on the seller. You will find that Snake has lotsssss of good postsssssss. (He's into ssssssss's)
Actually, the Yellow Classifieds is one of the safest forums to buy on. None are foolproof. If someone is stiffed on the Yellow, we usually yell loud and long about the seller/buyer. I currently have one gun on the way and will be buying a scope mount tomorrow on that forum. |

I gave a guy an excellent deal, he disassembled the gun and
broke it and then bad mouthed me on the BOI. so it doesn't
mean feces to me what they say about anyone on the urine
(yellow) forum. |

Yes thats right, it cocks in a strange manner, you lift the cocking handle up and over the top of the pistol, right round the front and underneath nearly as far back as the trigger guard, about a 300 deg arc.
Al
PS: Looking at my original post I said "side leaver cocking" what I ment was that the cocking leaver runs down both sides of the gun. |
