Yep, those are our girls. Those were some good comprehensive tests and comparisons of the two rifles.
That's about right. Talon is 20 ft/lbs and the Condor is 60. I'm still interested in getting that 24" .22 cal barrel for mine, but it'll have to wait for now. |

Are you going to get the high flow also or just shoot it with
the Talon valve? |

I looked at that conversion kit, but you need the valve and a new canister and a new barrel, and I just figured that by the end of it, you might as well just shell out the 5 or 6 hundred bucks and just buy a new condor. It's gonna' cost about the same either way you go, so might as well have another rifle if I'm paying the same.
I can get the 24" barrel and basically double my fpe and get it delivered for under $200. That's a good deal in my book. I plan on only doing some squirrel and rabbit hunting, so I don't need the long range knockdown of the Condor. In all actuallity, my .20 cal with the 12" barrel would be sufficient for mid to close range small game hunting. |

| Yeah, it'd be a .22 when I get it. Unless they come out with a .25 cal by then. |

A good frienf of mine also got a Condor. It IS a pretty nice rifle, allthough I don't like the way you have to put your head on the bottle, and the scope wasn't mounted right for me. I also didn't particularly like the safety and where it is located. I've also found the stock grips to be dissapointing. They don't look as high quality as the rest of the gun. That's a shame.
It looks badass though. |

The head on the bottle thing is a necessary evil and takes some getting used to. Once you get the technique down it is not a problem. The safety is gay, and I've written a complaint letter to airforce about it (which they ignored). The safety is in a bad place and is loud and clanky, and really, unecessary. The pisol grip is chincy, but I customized mine with camo tape and made my own finger grips to thicken it up a bit for my large hands.
I'm sure the next generation airforce rifles will be bad a$$. These were just the first of a revolutionary new rifle, so there's bound to be some less than desirable features. That being said though, the rifles are still totally awesome. |

| I have to say though, the concept looks a bit like those 1700's airguns. They used bottlestocks too. |

| Doubling the bottle and the butt stock is the most efficient way to do it. It does make shooting the rifles slightly more difficult, but it has no recoil, so you don't have to worry about getting scope-eyed if your head is too close to the lens. |

Getting to close to the scope is a stupid idea anyway in the first place. +/- 7 Centimeters is what I was tought.
I always laugh when I see people crawling into that scope when they're about to take their first shot. That's why you want to lear them with Airguns.
I've heard some stories concerning big bore firearms, oh boy... |

| I've scope-eyed myself before with my Dad's muzzle loader. OUCH! Done it with airguns before too. That damn airshotgun I have has a nasty recoil to it and the stock hits me in the cheek when I shoot it and starts to get annoying after awhile. That's another reason why powder burners suck. After a half a days shooting, your shoulder is sore as hell. |

My old gas Patriot has nailed two people pretty good.
Most people have no idea of how to properly determine
the correct eye relief distance of a scope. |
