You'll go into the book for the longest sentence ever.

To answer your question, I think the Crosman will suit you just fine, but you might want to look at RWS or Beeman models too. They're less powerfull but build quality is usually better.

Didn't we have another new guy asking a similar question? There were a number of good suggestions made in that thread. Depends on what you are using the gun for too--hunting or plinking?

I assumed that "mattbarber51993" would be able to do at least a little bit of research himself.

Well I assume most people would be proficient enough to find all the air rifles they could want on the internet, and that the reason they come here is for advice on what to buy.

Sure, most of us assume you are completelt new to "air gunning' from your letter, so I think most would be happy to give some guidance. The Crosman is probably a pretty good all round starter rifle. Do you plan to use for back yard, targets, pest hunting, bith, etc. The more you tell us, the more we can help.

Yes, the Crosman Phantom 1000x is pretty good (for the money). It is a .177, so I am assuming your primary purpose is not small-game hunting. If it is, look at the Crosman Quest 800, or the RWS/Diana 34 Panther (but this might be a few dollars more than you mentioned).

But, the gun you mention, and all that others have brought up are spring-powered. You specifically said 'pneumatic' which leads people to think you are looking at a pumper? If so, think about the Benjamin 392 (.22 cal) or 397 (.177 cal).

I need a gun for target shooting as well as hunting squirells and small birds. I have a red ryder which is bad because it wont hit crap but its good for target shooting but I want something with A litttle more power. And i fixed my earlier post

A .177 should be OK for small birds and squirrels- I personally just like .22s for anything "hunting".

A Red Ryder is a kid's gun that only shoots BBs. If you've had any sort of success shooting targets with it- I congratulate you as that is harder than it should be using that gun and BBs.

Well, I bet most guns in your pricerange are more powerfull then that red ryder. Mr. Green

I'd get that RWS/Diana 34 if it was my choice, or an HW50S however they seem to be a lot more costly in the US.

For about 50 bucks more the quality of rifles increases greatly too.

I'm not sure of your age or the laws in your area, but the Phantom will do what you need, I wouldn't go for anything more than squirrels with it. I'd also cation you that you'll want to go for head shots. The Quest 800 recommended is possibly a better choice, it will hit a little harder (I like the extra weight of a .22 for hunting). Be sure of your local laws. There are better guns than these, some a lot better some slightly better (of course there are also some quite a bit worse). You've already been introduced to the Beeman line they make some pretty gun rifles also. Get used to air gunning, get a good starter gun, read up, research and plan on upping the quality of you rifles as you can spend more coin.
