It really mojo'd the city something fierce. I leave for work early in the morning when it's dark, so when I came home, I found that my precious bird hunting tree had been reduced to this. He had the tree removers come over and dice it up before I got home so I never saw the full damage. You'll notice that while uprooted, it is facing upright. That is only because once they cut it in half the base of the tree righted itself and flipped back up into my yard again, leaving a nice 15 foot tall stump. Doubt I'll be seeing many birds in that tree again. I am moving soon anyway, but it looks like mother nature expedited things a bit. There's still one tree left since they were twin pines, but the other tree provided a good amount of shade and shelter and now its all exposed. Fortunately the 75 mph wind was blowing away from our house, but not so fortunate for the neighbor considering the tree landed directly on his roof poking a big hole in it and ruining his AC pipes. I was nice enough to go help him put a tarp over the gaping hole in case the rain comes back. Felt bad for him though, but then again, I also lost a good bird huntin' tree! You might try shrinking the size of your pictures a bit- you have them at around 5 megapixels- which is 5mb for every picture. HAHAHAHA!!!! You know, that was the first time I'd ever been over there. And while I did help him, I was pretty much just standing there while he climbed up on his ladder. I actually DID examine the house for pellet marks because I remembered that I had shot at birds sitting on the top of the fence and wondered if the pellets had maybe hit the house. I saw nothing though. I was wondering if maybe he would say something to me about my bird hunting when I was over there. I know that he has found dead birds of mine in his yard and must have heard the shots I fired before. But he said nothing about it. The did not hit anything. but only blocked my driveway for a day while we cut firewood. I have a "Total" jack a$$ for a neighbor. He was getting busted by the CHP for one of his un-inspected comercial trucks that he stores on his property about 60 yards from where I shoot in my back yard. When he tried to Redirect the attention of the CHP officer and told the officer that I was in my back yard shooting right now... Mind you the neighbor had to hop the fence of the cemetary & cross the cemetary to even get close to my backyard to start screeming at me. I was in no way even shooting in there direction. The line of fire was about 45 degrees the oposite way. If the officer was not there... I might have put a few at my neighbors feet. The officer kindly asked if I would wait till he left to resume shooting and then contenued to write him up and then impound the truck. I just know that the officer must have told him... "You might not want to piss off your neighbor if you know he has a gun"... My property is zoned "Farm" so I could leagly shoot powder burners if I want too.
