1) Target to download and print: Week 49; Aug/18>Aug/24/2008
Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 20 shots at targets, 2 per number zone maximum. 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using center blue.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for red, 2 points for green and no points for black or white. Only two hits per number zone counts. Maximum point count is 200.
9) Please scan or photograph entries and post. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) An honorable contest for sport - to lie or cheat is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others. |

Very interesting...had a couple of flinches.
As usual, shot with my scoped custom 2240.
Pellets, Crosman wadcutters
5m
2 hand hold standing.
Time: 7 min
Score: 94/200
Note: No 7 is actually be a hit on the black outline of the red, same with no 10. So my score might be lower...I need some judges. |

Yep I think we can count both 7 and 10 as hits, I would count the border line as part of the target, so you now have a score of 114/200.
Very nice shooting Mar, I have a go myself later to day.

Mar,
Excellent shots!
Tough target if you ask me!
I'll submit mine later in the week.
Till then. |

IZZY, 5 min, 5M, 1-hand, Beeman Laser Sport Wads
40 / 200 = 20% (disqualified - no pic)
Tough target. I shot for the 10's only.
Side note: I shot a 470 at a 10M match Saturday. 78% |

thanks guys...I still count a 94 for my score though.
Here's a question though. I have another modded 2240 with a 14 inch barrel and shoulder stock. Can this be consider a rifle for the weekly target shoots? |

| Anything with a shoulder stock is considered a rifle (sure, it's technically a 'carbine'- but a rifle nonetheless). |

WOW! Fastest reply I ever got...thanks Eric. I may try it then later on...or now.
I just remembered that I cleaned out my shooting box last night...will post pictures of that also. In the meantime I guess I should rebuild it for my probably my last shoot till I am moved. |

I found this weeks target a bit difficult, I prefer dots.
Date 22 August 2008
Time 16.40
Time taken 12 minutes
Rifle Umarex Winchester 94
Pellet Bisley practice
Sight Iron
Range 10m
Score 60/200

| That's good rifle shooting my friend, probably way better then I could do with a rifle. |
