Sounds good to me. It is probably not a very big deal here in FL. either. We don't seem to have much state law governing airguns here. Maybe local laws only like in Miami and such where people don't know how to act like somebody.

A Decibel is a very difficult thing to qualify on its own, but the easiest way to understand it for sound is that a reduction of just one Decibel is just discernable, or a reduction of 26%, but this is a rough guide.

To reduce the sound output of an airgun by one db is very easy to do with a tube stuck on the end of an airgun, so to comply with the law in the USA you have to be very careful, even a rough surface inside of a long muzzle brake can cut the output sound down enough to break the law.

Have fun

Al

I have noticed through life here in the US that that is the way they sneak new laws in on the American people. #1 very few Americans know the law that they are about to pass is even happening untill they have already passed it. #2 They will usually allow us to break that law for a few years while turning their head. This way when they start enforcing the heck out of said law they can say it has been on the books for years, there's nothing new here. #3 By then, It is a lot easier to get a law passed here than it is to repeal a law here. #4 Before you know it you have a disarmed, enslaved population. Just what big government had planned. Total control over it's subjects, with very little fear of reprisal. Tell me I'm crazy. Al, I hear they are even trying to take knives away from the English. What next, carpenter hammers ? Laughing And that was not a shot at the English. It is something for the US to think about.

Yes they are going to come down on knives real hard too in the UK. And before we start puffing up like we are in better standings than the UK,consider this. Here in FL."USA" we can't mail order much bigger than a pocket knife now. And again we never even knew this law was being passed as it was. Until "POW" I was going to order a knife from Sportsman's guide and found out they couldn't ship it to FL.. Talk about a punch in the chops. The big guys are way outa control over there AND over here. "Here comes the new world order" Obama sure is chummy with Europe. He just loves the way they do things. And dosn't even bother to put his hand over his heart during the pledge of alligence. It's Gotta make a guy wonder.

I was reading an article the other day buy Robert Beeman, who was saying that many Americans where flouting the law by fitting “muzzle breaks” that are capable of silencing a rifle by more than one db, and they are living in a land of false security and are going to be surprised when the authorities take action against them.

As for knives in the UK, a lot of people are being killed each year by youths carrying them, 16 in London so far this year, this a four times the amount of people killed by firearms. If you are caught with a pistol (firearm) which is banned completely in the UK you go to jail for 5 years, now the government is thinking of extending this to knives, unless you have good reason for carrying one, which I have no problem with, I mean why do you need to carry a knife in a public place.

Nearly all our problems come from teenage immigrants who for then carrying a knife or gun is a way of life, and they do not have the level of intelligence to see the error of there ways. What the answer is I’m not sure but I think we should go back to corporal punishment, when they are of sub intelligence the only thing that gets through to them is pain.

Al

PS:
I'm with you Cycle on Obama he looks a bit to smooth for me.

Do you realize how many confrontations must have gone on in London since the beginning of this year AL ! That place is your version of New York city. This is a great year for low death toll cosidering how many millions of people interacted with each other. I don't care how low it was last year. I am a man of numbers/Logic. This means I am safe as hell in the middle of London. But the BBC can convince with hype that you are all in eminent danger now so everyone but the one who knows how safe he really is per his odds will back this decision. But now you can't have a gun if you the law abiding citizen needs one. And yes there are some situations where a law abiding citizen would feal safer with a real gun in his/her possesion. Maybe not in the city but somewhere in the UK ? There is no way no matter what a Country outlaws we will all be perfectly safe. He who sacrifices his freedom for security will have niether.
