It could be used for people to just 'shoot the bull' or for people coming here to look around and having questions and possibly using it to 'grab' someone who's already a member and online to have their questions answered. Any feedback or ideas? Part of it, of course, is that you have to be a registered member to vote- no 'lurkers' can vote- so maybe this is a detriment to the overall process/intent of proposed changes to the site. What I think might be the best idea is one of those "shout box" type things at the bottom of the page- so it's actually part of the index page itself, and not a separate "room" where people go off to 'chat'. Those sorts of 'rooms' seem to almost always be rather empty of people, don't know if it's a psychological thing or a functional/technical problem (i.e. more than one window open in a browser). We'll see how we move along- I'm waiting to see if we can get some resources gathered through the "Raffle" first. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." But I'd be lying.
