| I got a 22XX which is quite alright for plinking, but they sometimes need (a lot of) maintenance. |

| 2260's are one of Crosman's better overall guns in respect to quality and accuracy. You should get on an unmodifed 2260 approximately 20-25 shots on a summer day (i.e. 75-80*F). I personally would have no problem buying one for your purposes- just be sure you don't get one that's funky right out of the box- otherwise you should be taking it back for an exchange or fixing it yourself. |

| so it gets are 25 shots per cartidge thats kinda low. Well the 22 would have less shots than the 177 because its heavier right? So should i got the the crossman or the qb78? |

Actually, 1/2 gram per shot is pretty good, but simple modifications can increase shot count and reduce velocity.

In co2, .22 caliber is actually more efficient than .177, and shot count is typically better in .22 because of the improved co2 usage. |
