joules is a relationship to the mass of the pellet and the velocity at which it happens to be traveling

Let's put it in other words. I don't understand such calculations at all. Like dyslexia, I have something with calculations. I don't understand them, and I never will. It's called dyscalculia. Crying or Very sad

Meters per second is something I can imagine. Feet per second is a lot harder.

My question is: Is the version on the website of Umarex the 16.5 version or the 7.5 version.

16.5 Joule = 12.16 fpe, so if your Airmagnum 850 puts out 12.16 fpe then it is not standard, It's been modded, am I right.

Shoot. I'm terrible with numbers. I think it was 12.5 joule... I will check right away.

Edit: I have checked with the seller. I own the 5.5 Import version, which is 16.5 joule. It's also been modded, but that has nothing to do with the CO2 flow or anything. Only a trigger tune and a different airsource "sprocket". (Is it called a sprocket? I don't know, it's to late already)

But how do I convert Joule to Fps? Neutral

Follow the link I posted- find "joules" about the middle of that chart- type in the number of joules you want to convert- and the chart will fill in ALL the other energy units that it lists. For example, 1 Joule is 0.73756 FPE. It's a very handy site. If you go near the top of the page and Click on "Metric Conversion Chart" it will list all sorts of different conversions- not just energy units like on the page that is linked directly.

But if I click to find for instance meters per second and what they are compared to joules, it returns to zero. Neutral

In other words, I can not compare them or anything. It doesn't convert to what I want to know. How many FPS or MPS does my gurn do... It's supposedly around 220 MPS. It's also 16.5 Joule. I have no clue how to calculate such things. They are like chinese to me. Shocked

If your Airmagnum does 220mps then that equals 715fps, so you must have a modifed Airmagnum 850

As I said, it's the 16.5 Joule Import version. Nothing else has been modded.

I bet the one on the website is the 7.5 Joule version.

Hi Broommaster the Airmagnum on the Umarex site appeares to be the 12 Joule version so yours must be a 16.5 joule model imported into Holland.
