| i have a benjamin model 342 i think and was planning on getting a benjamin 397. is there anyother gun i should consider that is similar in price and reliability. i aso would like one with a smooth trigger like the benjamin |

That said, Big Ed on the yellow forum has what are called Super Sears that pretty much drop in for a very nice trigger. One is adjustable and there's a non-adjustable for a bit less. It think they are under $40. I have an older 392 on the way and, if the trigger on it is stiff, I'll be adding one of these Super Sears my own self.
As far as other guns, there appears to be a Daisy multi-pump but it won't be in the same league as the 397 and you can't find after-market parts like above. You may also want to consider a 392 (.22 version). It's supposed to be more efficient in that caliber, plus you can always send it to Mac-1 for a Steroid tune later if you so desire. |
