| Hey there Guy's, I was cruising a/g warehouse, and I seen this Ram Air Gas Spring Conversion kit http://www.airgunwarehouseinc.com/py-a-2103.html ,for Gamo Whisper/CFX, and I was wondering If it'll fit these gun's why not any other springer with the same spring length?, or could you make one fit your gun by modding the air ram itself(shortening the rod??), Anyway's, If someone could explain that for me I'd really appreciate it. | Those gas-ram "retro" kits are relatively new. I wonder if anyone actually has stock as of yet. But so far, I haven't seen anyone posting how they tried one (other than in testing by the manufacturers-supplied guns). |

I've read that a gas ram may smash the inside of your compression chamber. Off course, this is mainly influenced by the pressure you put on your gas ram.
Also, for the price that you insert a gas ram, aren't you better of with a real gun with a gas ram installed? |

I'm planning on putting a gas spring in my phantom... I found gas springs in a local hardware store in all different diameter sizes and lengths.
Anyone know the diameter of a Phantom1000 spring? I'm still working on a device to take mine out so I haven't measured it yet. I wanted to take the spring out without any special tools but can this be done? I don't want airgun parts flying all over the place :D
Also if anyone knows the maximum length the gas spring can have when it is fully compressed would come in handy  My guess would be around 145mm...
I'm doing the conversion this weekend so I'll keep you posted how this works out! |

one millimeter of preload at 147 pounds.
