David Ding Owner/CEO of Leapers here in Livonia Mi.
Awhile back Dave asked to make him a pellet trap to use in his R&D department at Leapers.
Seems they want to do some research on the new magnum springers that are breaking scopes,RWS 350,Gamo 1200,the Super Streak just to name a few.
I took him his 14"X14" 1/8 thick Alum.pellet trap last thursday.Along with my Super Quest. We set up in a back room and started shooting targets from about 10 meters at the new trap I call my "Goes-in-Don't ComeOut Trap".To make a long story short I had a 3X9X40 Leapers Illum. scope on the Quest.
After paying me for materials and labor Dave said he wanted to do me a favor if I didn't mind waiting for a little while and giving my rifle to one of his engineers.Sure I said hell the coffee is free and I ain't never in a hurry since I retired.
About 1/2 hour later here comes his engineer with my Quest in hand and a brand new state of the art Accushot 4X16X56 Range finding Scope mounted on it.I almost sh!t my pants!! The engineer gave me a run down on how to work the damn thing and told me it will focus below 10 yards as he did some kind of tricky work to it.
So anyway here is the Super Quest in .20 Cal with Super Scope Mounted! !

Sincerly
BBgun Bob

Wow! That is BIG! Does it make your gun top
heavy? Just kidding. What are the white particles
on it? And finally, do you notice much difference in
the sight picture?

Its been either snowing or raining here,I have to do my shooting outside so I'm just waiting for a break in the weather to sight it in.But looking thru it out the doorwall is quite astonishing. It is crystal clear and with the 56mm lens there is plenty of light making the sight picture very bright.
The little spec's on it are aluminum particles from me cutting a slot in the bottom of the sun shade to make clearence for the break barrel breech to open.I was a little to close to the rifle. Rolling Eyes
But I think Al's explaination is closer to the truth Faq-U

Have a good week!!!

Hey Bob, does the literature specify
the weight of the device? How many lenses
does it contain?

Can you show a photo of it not cocked, but
with the barrel broken?

Yes, that's good enough. Sorry about all of the
questions.
That is an impressive fit.
It would be a real bummer if
the shade turned a bit before and/or during
the charging cycle. Is it loc-tited?

You probably could've gotten away witha more liberal cut to give yourself more room to work with just in case. I hope its lock tited on there, because if that came loose and turned on you, I can only imagine what it would do to the scope. But what you did was clever nonetheless.
