Just began using pellets in my Daisy 35. Has anyone ever addressed the issue or lack of an issue with lead fowling in the barrel? I shoot cast bullets in my 9mm and .270 weapons and clean the barrels constantly.

The leading isn't usually a problem at airgun velocities and temperatures. Some professional air rifle target shooters never clean their barrels.
I wouldn't worry about it unless accuracy falls off, then a gentle cleaning, because airgun barrels are typically soft steel, or sometimes brass.

If storing it, apply oil to the bore to prevent rust, and wipe out the oil before shooting it again.

Thanks for the information. Yes I found out having any oil in the barrel messes up the accuracy of the shot patterns.

Oh yeah, I doesn't take much to throw off the groups. Usually some Goo Gone on a linen patch is all you need for cleaning. Then follow with dry patches. If you use a bronze brush, try to keep it rarely, and only as necessary on those barrels...and never on brass like the Benjamin or Sheridan pump-up guns. Don't use powder solvent like Hoppe's Number 9 on airguns either. It messes up the seals.
cheers,
Rob

I rarely clean any of my airgun barrels except for the Condor. If it is
shot a lot at high pressure with heavy pellets the choke leads up
pretty good after a couple of hundred rounds.
