Hey Bob,
You bet ya. I kicked it up a notch on this last batch.
I switched out materials to anodized T6 to reduce the weight and add a another safety factor that aluminum provides over brass in the HPA format as you suggested awhile back.
I also increased the ID between the relief for the front trigger screw to the spring seat to match the ID of the valve spring for better flow
Some of my guys have now nick named it the "Black Valve"...

Sweet looking extension, Joe!
Gonna have to get me one of those for my .25 cal Disco project in order to delete the gauge port...

I procured a tap and die for Bob awhile ago and damn it,
I'm going to blame this one on you Bob! Ya should have smacked me on the head and told me to order two sets!
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on just the die for a project. Of course they raised the price on me. The one die cost me just as much as Bob paid for his tap and die.
Now I got to make more parts to pay for the die...
Look Ma! Extended Co2 Caps!
They will fit 2300 T/S or any 22xx with a 10"+ longer barrel.
One problem. A stock 2240's 7.5" barrel is too short to have both the extended cap and a muzzle brake/stock front sight....
I'll end up making a shorter version just for the 2240. Just two rows of knurling. Twice the knurling of the stock cap to make it easy to swap out Co2 carts.
The longer version will be threaded so that the end user with a 1760, 2250, 2260 or a 2400 can add a bolt to it to make contact with the Co2 caplet.
Now this is something I'm still working on. The reason I bought the die in the first place.

They sure did bud.
Nice work on the CO2 end caps as well.....
Thinking about putting a folding stock on my new 1322 build, sometime in the future,so I may hit you up for an adapter.I'm really becoming a fan of the compact carbines.Quick to the shoulder, and you can take them anywhere.Got a PCP "shorty" in the works as well. That way I'll have a pumper, and a Co2/PCP carbine setup. And last but not least, probably going to throw a modified Marauder pistol into the mix as well.Something for every scenario.....The tree rats should be starting to get real nervous right about now... |

looks awesome Joe!!! Yeah die prices make me want to learn how to thread on my lathe.
I had a machinist show me how but we were using a real lathe. Mine is Grizzly 9x19. |

@ Mark, Defo on the shorties.... I have more fun with Truck Monkey than any of my other guns.
@ ZipSnipe, Don't feel bad, even on American Guns they use dies on the barrels. The fat jerk on there messed up a Carbon Fiver 50 BMG barrel trying to use the lathe to thread it.
Process to get it dead right every time.
First a shallow guide cut on the lathe to keep the die square
2nd use the tapered side of the die.
3rd pass the other side of the die to get the final cut to the end of the threads.
After using this die made in Spain, I am very impressed with it. I wish they would have had a brand stamped on it. Every thread came out sharp with no burrs. |

Whoot, just back from anodizing!
T6 Anodized with 3/8"-16 threaded insert to contact the Co2 Cartridge
Guys that need a longer post for 2250 & such can remove the insert and replace it with a bolt or "thread all" cut to the right length.
2x the thread length for the gas tube.
Stock 7.5" barrel 2240 version 2x the gripping surface than a stock.
22xx version with 10"+ barrel 4x the gripping surface than stock.
