Always another nice toy coming from joe for the 22xx's! Wish the economy would swing back around...even temp jobs are hard to come by now. Crying or Very sad

Just curious, are you still working on an adapter change for the 2250xt?

I'm also curious... Next time you've got one of the 22xx's apart, I'd LOVE to see how the barrel is attached. Just to bounce the idea off you. I was reading on how Walther's choked barrels help push the fps/fpe up higher. So I'm thinking, eventally putting a 14" choked barrel on mine... when ever I get around to buying the darn thing!

Jax

I have not delved in to the xt project yet... maybe in the spring...

The barrel removal is too easy... Just need to be very careful not to strip the breech screw...

Make sure the you have no air in the system... (Remove the Co2/AS)
Remove the barrel band...
Pull back the bolt to expose the breech screw
Carefuly remove the breech screw. (Do not us a ball end Allen Wrench!)
Remove the Rear Screw (Sight Screw)
Lift the breech & barrel right off the gas tube.
***Careful not to loose the TX port seals***

If you have a steel or after market breech... Remove the barrel set screws and... vala.. the barrel is free of the gun...

Assemble is pretty much the reverse... The key is to have the gun cocked... and jus a dab of loc tight blue on the barrel set screw/s and the rear screw... NEVER ON THE TINY BREACH SCREW and DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN IT!... If you do... you will regreat it later...

Mr. Green

speaking of "DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN"... am i the only one that lives by my torque wrenches? and why are there no torque specs available for these fasteners? yea, you can find a general torque scale based on thread size, but theres a lot of other factors.

Tourque specs would be great... I only have a 1/2" tourque wrench... I think it would be over kill... The weight of it alone... you get the picture...

If you have bought a CR steel breech kit it comes with the allen wrenches...

The allen for the breech screw... Just do not use the ball end... Use the short end and when the allen wrench flexes good while holding it by the ball end... It's tight enough...

***Make sure you insert the allen wrench all the way into the breech screw***

I learned this the hard way... Removing stripped breech screws... not fun...

Joe,

I love the idea of the folding stock. I'm sooo confused. Perhaps it is a good thing I don't have the cash now for any of this. In your opinion, since you've developed the 2250b bulk attachment, can that act as a stock without putting undo stress on the connection?

Thanks for the explaination about the barrel. The tips will be good too, so I've book marked this thread for refernce sake. What I'm wondering is if I bought a 24" walther barrel and wanted to cut that down to 14-18", would I need to do any work on the breech end (where I'd cut the barrel) so it would adapt to the breech?

Thanks,

Jax

In RE; to the fitting... I now use 4 point mounting like the XT adapter. Yes you have to drill two holes in your stock gas tube.

I am working on... in fact today... A design much like the 1077AS adapter... but in Direct Injection... for the whole 22xx line using an ASA for 9 oz tanks... I am protyping for the 2240 on a gun that is my son's Christmas present. Photos after the new year... Lots of Dark Blue anodizing on the gun...

It will require disasembly of the whole gun to install. It is not a simple screw in... Besides... it will be HPA ready...

The barrel... I have no idea... I only have worked with the CR barrels...
IMO, If I was doing the barrel... I would turn it down to fit the breech.

Joe

Here is the eBay photo of the 13xx ones

I broke two carbide cutting tools yesterday so I did not get the mounts done for the 22xx's... They will be done today.

Hey Joe. . .

Our mutual friend from down under hates me for it but. . .

I don't worry about the breech screw very often.

Sad/Cry Too bad for him... He is not the only one with talent.

I read the rant...

I wish I had time to order a plain aluminum set from you before I send in the parts for anodizing on this 2240 project... it's a Christmas present...
