Forget the Dummy! I made something NEW!

I just could not bring myself to drilling a hole in my new 2250B...
&
I have a friend in Colorado who is doing an HPA conversion for hunting.

With HPA you need a fast acting reservoir since you are dealing with High pressure air and volume... So I came up with this little doohickey thing a ma jig...

Some idiots are pressurizing their gas tubes to 1400 psi which is just a grenade ready to go off…

It’s made from 8”’s x ¾” solid brass bar bored out for the chamber, leaving a nice thick wall. It replaces the piercing section of the valve and just sticks out of the gas tube of a 2250 1” for the fitting. My 22xx ASA adapters have a 1800 psi burst disc, just in case there is a problem.

Perfect! Now she has the air capacity, immediately when the valve opens and safe too.

It makes for a nice little expansion chamber for Bulk Co2 and I did not have to drill a hole in the gas tube and use the dummy….

Plese excuse the grammer... my head is still foggy from the flu...

Ya know joe, after some of the conversations we've had about the mod I was looking to do, I was starting to think about skipping Co2 all together. And I was actually going to ask you if you thought any of the 22xx series could handle the higher psi's. This solves that all!

Do you think this would work with a bulk version of the Boss valve? Since that doesn't have a piercing section?

Just curious, have you chrono tested your rig yet? I'd be curious to see what ratings you're getting! That really REALLY looks like a spiffy set-up.
Great job!

Hi..What is a safe psi when converted to air from Co2.
I have a 1760 that would be good to change to air.

Cool thing Jax, is you can start out with a set up like this and move up to HPA. I am not among the Rich Folks… So I am taking it one step at a time…

Sorry... I do not own a crony... YET! I have to justify it to the Boss... The one that wares the panties...

No need for the boss valve. This is a total valve replacement.

You have more than 8x the volume stored in the reservoir for quick & consistent burst.

This is not a "PCP" (Pre Charged Pneumatic) Tank...
It must be used with an external tank for HPA or Co2.

This is the first proto.
I have a revision on the drawing board all ready.
No cut away till perfect the Monster Valve.
There is some internal goodies that I am working on for better fluid dynamics...

Kanyon,

My beta tester in CO wants a working psi of 1000 - 1400 with the external tank. Safely obtainable...

A 1760/2260 would require a longer reservoir... It is on the drawing board, but I must perfect the 2250 set up first...

BTW… I have 24” .177 and .22 13xx & 22xx barrels on the way.

I am offering a cut down, Re-crown and Re-blued service now.
$45 to the custom length of your choice.

I am looking at an Anodizing & Nickel Plating service too…

Hi..thanks A 1760 with bulk air feed would be great, But I must say it has picked up quite a few FPS as its comeing in to summer and the weather is warmer. Hopeing on a hot day 25/30deg celius and PBAs it may get 850fps if thats the case I will try it on a few bunnys.

I read somewhere here that N2 being thiner could give more FPS.
Well it just so happens the laser at work uses N2 as a sheilding gas.
later to day me and the Evanix are going for a drive to the work shop.
Very Happy Laughing Twisted Evil
