this is a trick that we use at the shop and track all the time, and since airguns seem to be VERY sensitive to this issue, thought i'd post it up.
ok, youve accidently used the wrong oil or solvent and some touched a seal or oring causing it to swell, all is not lost until it can be replaced!! remove the rubber piece get yourself some GLYCERIN based liquid soap (with no dye added it will be green) mix equal parts soap and water, soak the rubber piece for at least an hour, if no change, increase the ratio until you notice a shrinkage.
i have used this method countless times, and as long as you use the correct soap it really works!! |
