I know exactly what you mean. My Benji Disco is extremely loud. However, I believe Silencers are illegal. I ordered myself a TKO Muzzle Break on Monday. When I receive, I will tell you what I think!

AFAIK there aren't any legal issues here. I'm going to build one today, depending on how it works, I may still buy one. But I think I have the basic engineering of it covered regarding the volume needed & the single baffle placement . I just threw a basic frame up together & fired three shots. The only sound was the spring & hammer doing their job. Now to go get the actual materials & put them together. If it works the way its supposed to, I'll post a video so you can hear it yourself & let me know what you think.

All you need is a tube 1 ¼” Dia x 8” long and use three baffles one half way down the tube the split the difference with the other two, this will quieten most PCPs running up to 12 flb.

A lot of commercial silencers use hair curlers with scotch pad wrapped around the outside and slid into the tube, with one baffel in the middle, these do work well.

Ok, I've finished it. And it works beautifully. Whats more, I didn't use any baffles at all, but I did "port" the tube. Just 4 small cuts at different lengths along measuring 1/4" long by 1/16" wide to relieve the pressure & moderate the escaping gas. Almost no sound whatsoever.

Very nice! I haven't received my TKO Muzzle Brake yet, but if it does not perform the way I expect it, I would be willing to buy one of your Homemade ones if you are up to the challenge of dOing it again. Wink

I just received the TKO Muzzle Break today, and boy I couldn't be happier! My Disco went from sounding like a .22, to having less noise than my PumpMaster! It just gives a sharp high pitched noise right after the trigger is pulled. But I'm not complaining! Smile

This one is a big can of worms. Legality depends on where you are - not all countries are the same as the U.S. Not even all the U.S. states are the same:
http://www.silencersarelegal.com/

And even though your airgun isn't regulated under firearms laws, a silencer/suppressor/moderator mounted on it will be regulated separately, on the chance it could be removed and placed on a firearm.
http://www.pyramydair.com/article/Airgun_silencers_What_s_the_big_deal_August_2006/32

And just because your airgun silencer is manufactured so it can't be removed without destroying it, there are places like Michigan that regard airguns as firearms, so it's still illegal.

Like I said, a big can of worms.

They are completely legal here in the USA.
Contact the ATFE, after the background check give them $200 and you"re set.
The suppressor will be considered as a firearm.

I have several and have shot them with police officer friends and they had no
problem what so ever.

If you want a very good silencer get a DonnyFL. He sells three suppressor for air guns and the quality is outstanding. They are extremely quiet. I think the are the best you can find and the price is reasonable. I purchased the Sumo from him to put on my Daystate Huntsman Regal XL, and now all you hear is the hammer. He is at donnyfl.com.
