After I got done with my SSG I went into our tool room and found a clear round protecto tube that most of our reamers are shipped in that fits over the cocked SSG shaft and nut, Then I machined the tube cap to fit this clear tube and also cut a o-ring groove in it for just a little extra hold, cocked gun and then cut tube to just clear guide nut and then slid on its black cap to seal it up. No dirt can foul it now or a pinch on the hand when fired. I shoot a thumbhole stock so its not in the way one bit anyways . Like a swiss clock under a glass dome , I got a little bit of Bob Sterne under clear lexan!!. HE HE.
