if you were to use a discovery valve in a 2240 would the o-rings be in front of the stamp marks and is this even possible to do i would be running regulated to 1500 psi with a ninja shp 13/3000 or would i be better off connecting the block for the bottle directly to the valve and not pressurize the tube at all thanks Lee

You can lay out the design however you like- but the safer option is to connect the pressure feed directly to the valve- the 2240 tube was not set-up to hold pressure (it can't hold pressure the way a 2240 is designed- gas would leak out around the stock 2240 valve). As I recall, the Disco valve put in place of a 2240 valve adds about an inch, which should cover the stamping on the tube, but even so, I wouldn't think much more than 1000-1200psi would be safe (the 'SHP' regulator maxes out at 1400psi I believe).
