Darned interesting project. I'm sure the machining wouldn't be too difficult. Just make up a gun drill reamer, ream the rifling and then lap some sort of choke in to try and get some of the accuracy b ...

It really would depend on the alloy of the barrels and the stresses that have been set up during the manufacturing process. It could just as easily relax in the positive direction.

As well as that Card's Lumber just north of Kingston harvest from their own timber lots. They can cut and kiln custom orders...and they are gun guys.

Typically you'll need to ask for "10/4 in ...

First thing I would try before getting too excited is simply fill them and shoot them down several times to see if the seals just need to be re seated.

Always worth a try before a teardown.
