I am looking into a new scope for my R1. One with mildots. I happen to have an SWFA Super Sniper that has been replaced by a new optic.
So I was thinking of using this on my R1. I would hate to destroy this scope. So my question is, how do you know if a scope is rated and built well enuf to ride atop of the mighty R1? |

| Don't know the age of your scope, but most of the better scopes have been more solidly built the last 10 years or so and should hold up on springers- larger manufacturers don't specify "airgun scope" on their units as this tends to cause confusion with the powderburner crowd (i.e. 95% of the market) where they then assume the scope is only meant to be used on airguns. If the unit has a lifetime warranty, if it does blow out, at least you'll have the ability to have it repaired/replaced. |
