i was told by beeman that i should never oil or grease the spring, seals, and piston. the spring seems well oiled from the factory on my gun, and i asked about what to do from beeman when it got dry. i was told that the spring was lubricated at the factory and no more oil is needed ever. was told the spring will weaken and need replaced before it needs oiling again. i was told to just oil the joints and thats it. also to just shoot pellets to get any rust out of the barrel. is this what ya'll do? also what do othe company's say? thanks

In a way, they gave you good advice. A new spring air rifle sold by them shouldn't need oiling of the spring or the chamber for a couple of years at least. By then, you should be knowledgeable of what you need to do for maintenance. Rust in the barrel should be taken care of with a brass bore brush.

YEah, the seals and springs will die in a beeman before you have to grease them. Beeman kinda gets happy with grease. If you are really worried about it get you some RMCoil from pyramydair.com. NOT PELLGUN OIL!!!! never use pellgun oil on a springer. It diesels REAL bad. Pellgun oil is for those pump up cheapies. Or pump up nice ones like the benjamins. It just takes a drop.THat's about every 1000 rounds.
