Though April snowstorms may come your way...
They bring the ice storms that come in May...
In June when the snow melts in earnest...
To bring 60 days of green grass...
They say the sun will burn us...
I say global warming my a$$.

Three days of it. The sun is finally out this morning. Not as bad as SW Minnesota. The in-laws there are staying in town because there's no electricity at the farm. In town they're on backup power with rolling blackouts, but at least it keeps the houses heated. Lots of branches and power lines down - estimate is two weeks to get up and running again.

Wow! Now that's a lot of snow. Here in Northern Illinois/Chicagoland we have been having a lot of rain and odd temps (60F days that drops to 29F nights, then next day we'll be in the 40's and then last night, slow mixed with rain; today hail), but it's been some years I have seen snow here this far along.

I had best stop now. When I was a kid it snowed here on my mother's birthday: May 31st Shocked.

Very nice picture BTW.

Soiux Falls got hit hard with the ice. Lots of trees down and loss of power that goes along with that.
Other than it being a PITA to get to work it hasn't been bad.

Don't feel too bad. We have been pounded by non stop rain and for the first time ever my house needed a sump pump. Went downstairs today and didn't pay attention until the water came up mid-calf Neutral. Thankfully the water heater, washer, dryer and other important things were still out of reach from where they are located, but my basement is like a elongated oval and the water is going completely around by about 8" deep. Another inch and the washer, dryer and water heater would have been toast. More rain coming Sad/Cry.

Right now I am making a lagoon in my backyard from all the water pumping out HA!

Good luck with the snow though.

Another blast for us also. Enough to drift even. Today is nice - pretty pathetic if 48 Deg. F. is cause for rejoicing.

On Saturday I had to pull my heavy winter coat back from the closet just to walk up to my local Walgreen's Neutral. We are supposed to be near 70 today...we shall see (not holding my breath).
