I have a pump type 22 cal air gun with the name Benjaman Franklin mod 312. It works very well right now and looks to be in good shape. What I would like to know is it worth repacking the pump and how hard is it to do.
I use it around the house for varmints and such and just dont know if it would be worth keeping it going or just replace it. Thanks for any input. |

Does it actually have "Franklin" printed on it? I had thought that was only a marketing gimmick, not part of the actual name (?) Benjamin was/is an airgun manufacturer. The 312 was made by the original company for I believe around 30 years up until the late 1960s as I recall. Apparently, they are not worth much- maybe a couple hundred dollars in mint condition with the box and manual.
Is it worth repairing? If you take it apart and can't reconstruct it, it won't be a huge loss in any event. |
