I just found out about this gun on the crosman website... prob getting the 18 inch barrel in .22 w/ skeleton stock grip. I just have a few questions I'm hoping some of you guys may know the answers to.

-what kind of velocity can I expect from this CO2 carbine? Hunting range for squirrels, rabbits, etc?

-shot count per fill?

-I've seen many people upgrade to PCP with disco parts... anything wrong with just using CO2?

-williams peep sight costs $62 from the Crosman website... will it fit an Air Venturi Williams 64 peep sight? (made for benjamin sheridans/39x)... alternatives perhaps? Trying to stay away from scopes or red dots.

I ordered the 2400 custom too, but I went with the 24 in barrel in 22. My personal opinion is a scope instead of a peep sight. I originally got mine with the peep too, but A peep is really better with a globe front sight. I ended up getting this scope:

THey used to have a good scope in the options but for some reason they quit carrying it.

THe trigger weight is adjustable if you take the stock off too, so you can set that to just what you want. I like a heavier hammer spring myself. Mkae sure you get a muzzle break, whichever one you want, but it helps with settling down you barreal a lot.

I get starlings rabbits rats and squirrels at 20 yards with a good heart/lung shot. I don't know what the fps is exactly. but I estimate it at about 600. in 22 this computes to 12 ft lbs which is what the limit is in the UK and they hunt all day with theirs at that and do well.

I would order a discovery hammer spring. It makes a pretty good difference. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to PM me.
