You have to take a look at this new rifle. Made By RUGER it looks like a sweet rifle for the low low price of $110.00 with a scope.
I just wonder who or what kind of power plant it has in it. Say's 1000FPS but it seems they all say that now.If someone finds out who is making this rifle with the Ruger name on it please let us know.
For $110 I may have to take a closer look Damn addiction is kicking again.I need therapy or another gun
Oh well take a look and see what you think.

Bob,
I followed your link to pyramydair.com and if you click the link for more pictures, it shows the back of the Air Hawk box. On the back of the box it says "Umarex USA". I searched the Umarex website for 'Ruger', but nothing came up, HMM.......... What's up with that?

Umarex is obviously licensing the Ruger name. This doesn't necessarily mean Ruger has anything to do with the gun, its design or its production- just that they're getting paid royalties for letting their name be put on it.
As for it not appearing on the Umarex website, I've noticed that Umarex isn't exactly the fastest in respect to updating its website- so this may not mean much, yet. |

Many of the products of Umarex are questionable, except for the AM850. |

I said many, not all.
Say Al, does your Winchester also say "Made in Germany"? My Airmagnum does.
Some Umarex products were made in Italy, and I recall that some of them are now produced in China. |

Well guys, I did my own little investigation today.
I called Ryan at Umarex and he said that this gun is made in China, NOT Germany as was posted on the Pyramyd Air website.
I was thinking about being the guinea pig for this rifle and the Crosman Benji Discovery, but I think I may just be the Discovery guinea pig now.

The Winchesters are made in two different places for Daisy, the one with adjustable trigger is made in Brazil, the other with no adjustment on trigger is made in Turkey ,by Hatson. My cousin has one and it says right on the action Made In Turkey and it is a powerful rifle.Shoots in the 970's fps all day long. Its a bear to cock and really hammers ya with the recoil. His has destroyed two scopes so far.One was a 4X32 RWS scope and the other was a 4X32 CenterPoint both were air gun rated..
Later Dude

You are all talking about a different gun.
The Walther/Umarex Lever Action Winchester 1894, if I recall correctly.
And Lord! I gotta feeling, it ain't made in China! |

Hi Broom, the one I have got is made in Germany by Umarex. Also I gather that the carbine version in not available in the UK any more, whether it's still made or not I don't know?

Well, all I know about the gun, I heard from you, as they are illegal over here.
The Drozd is also illegal because it looks like 4 guns in one. They really had to squeeze the law over that one. |
