tools needed ....razor blade,hacksaw,file,2 ounce hammer(or an old tablespoon)
parts needed...aluminum tube 1 inch id,steel 1 inch od washer w 5/16 hole,2 spark plug wire insulators (i used 2002 caravan 3.8 wires)
cut the tube ,insert washer 2 mm deep into tube and crown washer in tube,next peen around the side to tighten the washer to the inside of the tube. cut the insulator away until its 3/4 thick from fron to back.(trim both evenly or pellet will hit washer)imy barrel is 7/16 and the hole for the wire is 6 mm so i streched it with a piece of steel rod 3/8 thick.a little soap will make it much easier. now slide tube over rubbers.the further the end of the barrel is to the washer , the more sound is muted. whats nice about this is,its so flimsy that used on a true "firearm", it will blow the washer out rendering in useless as a supressor. The above is a Silencer / Suppresser and a dangerous one at that, if used on a high powered air rifle and the end blows out the pellet could go anywhere, I would advise against building anything like this.
A break is used to mostly to trim the lift of the muzzle when firing or reduce the kick, it does not reduce the noise at all in fact it may increase the noise to the shooter.
